SCH Spring Overnight – April 6-9

We are looking forward to having you join us

on the Spring Overnight,

April 6-9, 2026 in Kanab, Utah!

We are heading to Kanab by popular request. Your hike coordinators have put together wonderful hikes for you—from favorites that were done in 2022 to new places to explore. Towering slot canyons, beautiful red rocks, hoodoos, and petroglyphs… it is no wonder that the Kanab area is a popular area for hikers!

Our Hotel: There are no more rooms available at the Hampton Inn at the group rate.  We have contracted with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites for a group rate of $139 plus tax of 14.77%.   This rate is for either two queen beds or one king bed.  Please call the front desk at (435) 644-3100 and let them know you are with the Sun City Hikers Group.

Signing Up: You may begin signing up on SignUpGenius now. Please sign up for the overnight plus for your desired hikes in order to give our hike coordinators a good idea of how many hikers plan to be on each hike. You will also see sign-ups for roommates and carpooling as follows:

Sign Up to Attend the Overnight

Sign Up for Looking for a Roommate

Sign Up for Carpool (Looking for a Ride or Offering a Ride)

Our Hikes: Details for each hike are included in the detailed hike descriptions for A, B, and C hikes on the sidebar of the Hike Information tab on the SCH website.

Our Gathering Time: We will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The room location will be posted at the hotel. This is a great time to mingle, enjoy snacks provided by our Social Committee, get to know hikers whom you do not normally hike with, plus hear the important information about the next day’s hike. You do not want to miss this time together. Bring your own favorite drink.

Special Note: You will notice that we are having our first gathering on Monday because our Tuesday morning hikes all begin from the Hampton Inn in Kanab.
